10.7.3 is out as you know, will try to make my usual patches as soon as I can.
Thanks Netkas for your patches each releases =)
I know I don’t need patches for the 6870, just wanted to mention it works-for-me(tm).
Playing WoW atm.
4890 user waiting … thanks man.
can someone please confirm if this update mess up nVidia GF100 driver?
and if so – does the usual addition of id resolve the issue?
for what it’s worth… I can confirm the 10.7.2 QE CI patch (dated 10/16/11) does not work (for 10.7.3) with a 4890 card, MacPro 1,1
One of these days I’m gonna remember to check this site before I blindly do a software update ‘recommended for all users’ 🙁
Thanks for this site! I truly owe you!
hey my xfx ati 5770 not working on lion any fix soon or it will not work on lion
ok haven’t update yet plz … do something
You are a god damned treasure. Your handsomeness is matched only by your talent, and your care and generosity makes this world better to live in. Thank you so very much for all the great work you do.
These patched kext work well for 10.7.3 final version on my HD 4890 card with QE CI, you can try it, good luck.
ok, I had no patience and updated 😀
everything works fine, had to reinstall AppleHDA and edit AppleGraphicsPowerManagement, GeForceGLDriver & NVDAGF100Hal
one thing I noticed Cinebench OpenGL score went down:
довольно-таки плохо X) why might that happened?
my GTX560ti-448 is scoring a bit lower too, but I noticed when trying to make the changes to GeForceGLDriver.bundle with HexEdit that it can’t find the strings to be changed, bit strange?
I had been using my 6950 for so long I forget (or rather didn’t readily remember) the cumulative hours I had spent in its modding so when I saw 10.7.3, I thought, sure! One restart later and, What? Kernel panic? Why…. oh… whoops.
Is there any fixes to 6950 drivers with 10.7.3?
If there’s not, i’ll probably change to 7970.
Because it works now, right?
///its in the work, check out forum
Cinebench score is lower, I have noticed that AGPM is not switching to high performance for cinebench… agpm is working fine in all other benchmarks – luxmark\oceanwave etc
qe/ci 4860 10.7.3 thanks

hey my xfx ati 5770 not working on lion any fix soon or it will not work on lion[/quote]
I have a Sapphire HD 6770 that i had to flash in HD 5770 to that can be recognized in Lion. This is the easier way to do it.
The HD 5770 is recognized OOB in Lion.

try this QE_CI Exotic patch Lion 10.7.3 based on Netkas’s QE_CI Exotic patch Lion_GM : http://www.mediafire.com/file/mlgm45emrdkr3a4/QE_CI Exotic patch Lion_10.7.3_(11D50) .zip
All credits go to Netkas
fantomas1 – thanks for the post, but it isn’t working for me. No Joy with your kext files installed and after clearing cache files 🙁
have you “GaphicsEnabler
in your com.apple.Boot.plist ?
it works :).
open gl tested all passed …
Does this work correctly and fully.
I have the 4890 an updated Lion. Not sure if I should wait until theres a release from netkas.
Nuked the /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.bootstamps/???/com.apple.Boot.plist
Still no joy 🙁
the previous message stripped the xml coding
open bracket “key” close bracket “GraphicsEnabler” open bracket forward slash “key” close bracket…
Thanks fantomas1! Back up and running with my 4850.
The 10.7.2 patch to enable OpenCL on Nvidia cards still works for 10.7.3 on my GTX 470.
I bought Nvidia Quadro 4000 for MAC edition.
I have 2 monitors, but I can use only one under OSX 10.7.3.
The display port is not working on this card in OSX.
The funny is under Windows 7 I can use them together.
I tried with one monitor on Displayport, OSX is booting up, but at the and of the finish, the output is changing to DVI.
Chameleon 2.1v r1650.
Cuda driver 4.1.28
I have QE/CE.
Anybody can help me?
GTX460 needs new hex string for 10.7.3 :\
was running smooth on 10.7.2
with 10.7.3 installed openGL score dropped
AMD + Lion????????? Can you make it?
Success! using fantomas1 ktext files and http://www.groths.org/?page_id=598 ktext installer did the trick. Not sure why manual installation and nuke of the cache files didn’t work – I’m sure it must have been operator error… But I’m now up and running with my old 4890 on a MacPro 1,1 and two monitors!
I can’t get into my main install after the 10.7.3 update and trying to manually install the Kexts fantomas1 linked to. Get stuck at ”sound assertion failed” messages.
I can boot into my second install (10.7.2) so how do I install the kext the right way if I can’t boot into the system I want to install them too?
Thankful for any help.
Can you make a patch to enable QE/CI and native resolution on GMA 5700 (Intel HD Graphics Arrandale)?
I’m stuck on 1024×768 and no QE/CI.
Thanks in advance,
If you want to install them straight away then you need to plug the drive or access the drive from a Mac system. Alternatively you can find a program that you can install on PC and it will let you view the drive with Mac installed, from there you can install the kexts. Try this program:
A new package for 6950 is totally needed,i did everything i know but couldn’t get beyond the log in apple sign (not the one in boot process with turning wheel the one after that which passes up and let’s you to type your password if you set one for logging in)
boot into 10.7.2 install. in terminal copy kexts you want to new install(107.3)with command
sudo cp -r selectedkext.kext /Volumes/xxx/S/L/E. reboot to 10.7.3 with verbose mode selected in chameleon or -v to rebuild kexts. done easy.
o damn @ a Martin
Why was my message deleted. I answered @martins question :/.
I think i’ll wait for Netkas official update, i can’t afford to have my system unusable right now.
Thanks, I’ll give it a shot tonight. 🙂
If no go, I’ll probably wait for Netkas.
Hmm…. I have:
In org.chameleon.boot.plist, doesn’t that mean I’m booting in verbose mode already?
Did the same thing but didn’t work out for Asus HD6950,
Asus P8P67 Evo. I’ll wait for the patch too 🙁
Managed to get it working!
I had ”extended attributes” on ”ATI4800Controller.kext” and ”ATIRadeonX2000.kext” which shows up as an @ at the end of the permissions in Terminal.app.
It seems both kexts got in ”com.apple.quarantine” (which doesn’t sound very good).
I managed to delete the attributes for the kexts using:
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ATI4800Controller.kext
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ATIRadeonX2000.kext
after that I booted fine on my main install and I’m now running 10.7.3!
aaron.. the xfx 5770 (if it’s the dual dvi card)
wont’ work out of the box with lion. You have to flash the bios
Netkas please help me
