NVME Driver for OSX

Hello.

It’s announcement of availability of nvme driver for osx.

The driver is done by JimJ and avialable exclusively from MacVidCards.com

You can get the driver here – http://www.macvidcards.com/nvme-driver1.html

It’s osx driver, not efi driver. You can use nvme as data storage, not boot drive.

On hackint0sh side tho nvme could be used for booting if uefi driver for it present.

Big thanks to JimJ for developing this driver.

Enjoy.

Oddly, I am able to boot 10.11.5 from my m.2 NVMe card. I have this driver installed, and also have another NVMe driver in the Clover EFI partition. Not sure which one makes it work, but I can definitely boot OSX from it. The SSD is the 950 Pro.

Ah, silly me. I was not understanding what you meant at first. You mean: It’s not bootable on a regular Mac. Man, I am slow. Just delete this and my first comment as they do not add anything to the discussion.
