Apple “Releases” 10.6 sources
Apple released some sources of SnowLeopard 1OSX 10.6
No XNU(kernel) sources this time.
Cmon Apple, dont play like in Tiger times, releasing kernel sources will not increase hackintoshes amount anyway.
At least there is sources of some kexts, for those who needs some kexts with fixes.

excellent, does that mean we can get a fix for our broken IOATAFamily/AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext for those it still kernel panics for (even with your fixed kext) and therefore 64-bit support (needed for my optical drive on ATA in my ICH8 laptop)
same question …
Same problem here…
how about ati hd mobility, is there any hope?
Same Problem.
No XNU sources?
This is disaster for AMD users.
Hi netkas.. Check this out:
http://lists.apple.com/archives/Darwin-dev/2009/Aug/msg00168.html
cool, thank you Azimutz for the link, xnu will be released
i’m not a amd user so i don’t need xnu sources, but I want to see some project based on xnu emerge
like this one => http://code.google.com/p/xnu-xen/
cparm: I’m not an AMD user too.. Pentium D 925
Need sources to tell system that my cpu is 64 bit capable, not to mention the other stuff unsupported cpus need.
nice, I need a new AppleIntelPIIXATA because with your fix, it doesn’t panic, it just freezes (Intel DG31PR, ICH7)
I have a feeling that Apple not including XNU isn’t malicious, just requires more time to code review before making it public. I bet 10.6.1 will have sources, they don’t want to give away the shortcuts.
Yeah, maybe now we can get a AppleSMBIOS.kext that fixes the misc errors such as ‘Error getting a reference to IODeviceTree:/options’ and DVDPlayer crashing when trying to open an iso disc image.
Hello! [I have written a similar post at "http://chameleon.osx86.hu/articles/chameleon-20rc2-is-available-with-new-features-and-less-bugs" a few days ago].
I was wandering if it is possible to make a build-in CPUID mask option inside chameleon/pcefi, so all AMD cpus will appear as Intel to the os. I believe that something like that will give the ability to amd users to boot from retail/vanilla kernel but after all I’m not a programmer. So I would like to have your opinion about this.
Firstly, I have to add that there is already CPUID override “ability” on QEMU and KVM and I think that XEN has this ability too, but I’m not sure. Anyway, all of them are open-sourced so the code is already available to all of us. Secondly, there is a cpu from VIA,the via nano cpu, with unlocked cpuid from the factory!
Yes please new SMBIOS kexts I cant Log and Transfer in Final Cut.
///smbios kext is old thing, use smbios.plist with booter
HI Netkas!!
I believe Apple loves you. Some people, like me, try a Hackintosh before buying a real Mac. I’m sure they will release the code you want.
Mac would not be mac without the hack.
jeme +1
is there any hope for ati hd mobility users?
I was looking over those sources but I couldn’t find anything regarding the Intel GFX such as GMA950. Maybe I overlooked it. I am wondering if there will be a way to eventually get full resolution 1440 X 900 @ 32 on my laptop.
I am using smbios.plist but it is not working log and transfer crashes Final Cut. It works with your old SMBIOS.kext problem is just Snow becomes unstable with old kext. If I need to enter a specific entry to the plist, would you be so kind and share it please?
This is my current plist.

xnu sources are available now,
oh, sorry it’s my mistake, it will be available soon
Just to note DVD player also quits when you try to play something, that indicates to me that the SMBIOS plist implementation is not working. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
