I’m testing the beta’s form this site and Uakari is working excellent on the xfx5850. The only issue is that I do not know how to get HDMI sound. I don’t see that it is available in the system preferences pane under Audio. Everything else is 100%

    Awesome work Netkas.
    You ROCK!

THANK you for sharing all the information and content, again again and again! you’re the reason why my hackintosh boots and my gfx card and probably xx other things work without a hassle.

no clue what the osx86 community would be like, if there wasn’t king netkas. *bows*

    excellent news btw 🙂

    greetings from austria, phil

going to be an agonizing couple of weeks waiting

So does this mean we will be closer to Mobility 5xxx support?

  8. July 29th, 2010 | 7:24 am

    Don’t forget the other 5700 series cards like 5750, 5770, 5780, etc…

this is great news for the whole bunch of 5770 users
and for sure our genius will supply the stuff !!!
I have a full working 5770 with netkas aty-init (vervet)

only headache is that opengl benchmarks in “opengl extensionsviewer ” like others are terribly low ..(remember in benchmark mode !) as sch8mid pointed out :
any words on this champ ?

    keep up the great work…

Kgerm, no, 2 5770 can be installed only to support a lot of monitor, connected to MacPro.

I’ve finally made the decision to upgrade my graphics card.
From the no longer supported 2900 XT 🙁

But for the past few weeks I’ve been really wondering which card / chip to go for.
Especially after these recent developments with apple updating their ati support.

I’m thinking along the lines of 5750 / 5770. But I’m wondering should I be going lower
to meet apple’s new 5670 and guarantee working graphics for my hackintosh?

    All suggestions / comments welcome

    Many Thanks

Yes, I see that Nvidia has HDMI sound, but I cannot find anything on the net about ATI HDMI sound.

I’m sure it’ll come in time.

Thanks Netkas, good work regardless of sound.

I try to get my HD5570 (Asus EAH5570 Silent 1024Mb,DDR2)working on my Asus P7P55LX+Core i5 750 I used the Tutorial from hacktivist in Tonymacx86 Forum. But i doenst work.

    After installing Multibeast-Reboot-Ati5000Driver Kext
i get a endless Apple Logo after Reboot.
Everything works 100% fine until i install the Driver for the 5570 ,as soon they installed i cant boot anymore. Not from Disk and not from Iboot Ati5000.Safe Mode -x doesnt work too. I tried different Framebuffers, Device ID is correct.

    @Netkas. Is there a Way to get a 5570 working ?
And is there Somebody with a working HD5570 Card out there ?

Aleister, you use Aty_init.kext? it’s 32bit kext, so try to start in 32 bit mode, use -v -x32 string to do it.

Well, I bought a Sapphire 5770 today in hopes of getting it going on my MacPro 3,1. My brain is hurting a little from trying to figure out where to really go from here. Looks like there isn’t exactly a rom for me to try with this card yet. I’m a bit overwhelmed trying to understand what to do to produce my own either. I can at least help out in testing though.

I’m sort of inclined to go get a 4870 or something that seems people have got going, but all I really want is to have this card work as though it were a stock Apple one (or function similarly anyway).

    Any tips?
