Natit, again ? yes
This is a natit for Radeon hd cards.
works with Radeon HD 3870×2, 3870, 3850 , 2600pro, 2600XT
added support for all known 2×00 3×00 device-ids, jsut in case. maybe
somebody will be able to get working framebuffer on 3600 or etc.
For 2600pro/3850 need to install white menu fix (to /System/Library/Extensions)
Note to 3870X2 users, your card will work as two 3870(just like two 2600XT in MacPro),
in case u have more then 2 dvi ports.
otherwise it will work as one 3870.
Full pkg for 3870X2 is available on IRC.
P.S irc://irc.osx86.hu #radeonhd
P.S.S. we hit half-million visitors(and around 800000 vists).

“There is way to enable internal display on radeon mobility hd 2600 ??
i can be a beta(alpha) tester”
Sorry for asking this
what is the white menu fix, I couldn’t find that~
works for me
Ok I have a problem, after inserting my card string to the plist, I boot up and get “iokitwaitquiet() timed out waiting for kernel symbols” at the darwin screen. After awhile it goes to a blue screen with a mouse pointer and stays that way. If I don’t put the my card string into the plist, it boots up fine but without CI/QE. Can you help? BTW I have a Visiontek HD3870 and Asrock 4coredual-vsta mobo.
what the hell is ur card string ?
0×95011002
it’s should be already in there in 10.5.2 kext
Only 2600pro users need to add their devid.
2600XT blackout problem,
especially wit camino,…
I’ll give the new kext a try,…
note: without netkas kext, and just the graphics update,
I got garbled screen,… thought that would native ?
moved from 7300gs to 2600XT,
also note, my xbench is slow, 10.5.2 9.2 graphics update
xbench 2ghz c2d, slower than my gma950,…
anyway to check for framebuffer, opengl library problems ?
Xbecnh results is crap. use glview
Yes I know if the string is in there, the system will boot with a blue screen and mouse pointer and thats it, but if I take the string out, it boots up fully and working without CI/QE. So no solution?
when no devid in plist, acceleration kext doesn’t load, so no qe/ci.
I have a QE/CE problem , I Installed latest natit with GL fix on clean 10.5.2 and added my devid (0×9589)to ATIRadeonX2000 but still no QE/CE , any idea ?
p.s THANKS netkas for everything!!!
My Sapphire HD2900XT works now with full QE/CI support, without freeze problem. Thank you so much! But I have another little problem, my Radeon is hot now and fan work at full speed. Can it damage my video card?
managed to get around the problem with the help of guys on irc , reinstalled radeon2000 kest + natit and all works
I am in same boat as Singular, ATI hd2900xt 512mb.
I have leo gfx update 1.0 added ATY_Franklin into ATINDRV plugins and installed newest natit. Card runs very hot!
3850 fix works!
Tested on a fresh EFI GUI install, updated via software update as per netkas post.
Installed leo graphics update, then natit + fix bundle via kext helper, reboot and lo- it works!
It works in my 2600Pro. Seems everything works so far. Thanks netkas.
re:3870×2 Thank you Netkas, you’re the best !!!
how to install white menu fix ?
thanks
mb2k,
what did you do to get your card working im having some issues myself
The new Natit.kext on 2008-02-23 can not enable hardware CI/QE functions for ATI Mobility HD2600 of my Asus F8Sa laptop. But it did enable display in internal screen which was impossible using any other Natit.kext or ATYinject.kext. I think this is a big progress for success now. I’ll report whether the new Natit.kext on 2008-02-26 works or not after testing by myself again.Thank you very much.
The new Natit.kext on 2008-02-26 can not enable hardware CI/QE functions for ATI Mobility HD2600 of my Asus F8Sa laptop, either. Almost the same as that Natit.kext on 2008-02-23. Hope someone can solve this problem ASAP. Thanks again.
jsl2000 how you enable internal display ?
jsl2000: try to see if you product id of your ATI mobility is in ATIRadeonX2000.kext/Contents/Info.plist.
I’m sure it isn’t, and if i’m right you should get QE/CI working.
wow!
before i have to repair my iATKOS install for the ‘idontknowhowmany’st time, will this work for the ATI Mobility Radeon x2300…. this model is very strange because the core is a x1450 and sometimes a x1300…
anyone with succes?
This blue screen with mouse issue pointer after booting could be because of the LeoGraphicsUpdate Package. Also some/all MacPro Users with an ATI HD have this problem:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6667046
I think we have to wait for an bugfix of this update. Or has somebody a workaround?
tut, did solve it?
Mac Users have solved it with resetting the PRAM:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6589133
But what should we do instead of resetting the PRAM?
cyclonefr: I have double checked my ATIRadeonX2000.kext/Contents/Info.plist. I had edited IOPCIMatch to 0×95811002 before. That’s why I asked is there any other possibility to enable its CI/QE functions of ATI Mobility HD2600 in Leopard 10.5.1. I think it should be solved by compatible Natit.kext, ATINDRV.kext(ATY_Lamna.kext in /PlugIns), ATIRadeonX2000.kext & OpenGL.Frameworks.
So can you show me these versions which works in your system ?
Try to install 10.5.2 kexts from Leopard Graphics Update 1.0 (won’t install if you don’t have 10.5.2, so you need to use Pacifist to install it)
OK I have a question…
I install Leopard using Zephyroth’s 10.5.2 and I want to use this kext. Question : When I install Leopard should I use the drivers that come with the installation dvd (which do nothing by the way) or should I make a clean install and then install the new Natit.kext?
benk :
you need to install : new natit , graphics update , GL fix , and add your devID to the ATIRADEONX2000.kest/info.plist to the ACPIPCIMATCH – or something like that -section .
Important: make sure you install all kests using “kest helper” since some files needs to be touched to have the right permisions – that was my problem.
cyclonefr: thanks for your help.
Follow your advice and re-flash my laptop’s BIOS modified by Kabyl, I can enable hardware CI/QE functions via DVI–> external display at last. One minor problem remained up to now : failure of internal USB 2.0 Camera even with Macam 0.9.1 installed. Maybe I should try firewire iSight camera.
installed this natit on my hd 2600xt w/ 10.5.2 Leo, update my motherboard bios (gigabyte 945GCMX-S2F6c). now works perfect w/ shutdown, reboot and sleep fully functional. thanks.
I have tested this newest Natit.kext and found it does work for ATI Mobility HD2600 via DVI–>external display. However also noted that it will interfere my internal USB 2.0 Camera and Shutdown/Sleep functions. Rebooting is fine. Although CPU is closed, the power supply to external USB hard disk remains on until closed by manual button. Any suggestion or solution ? Is it unique problem for my Asus F8Sa laptop only ?
I tried several times to install iatkos on toshiba A200 notebook without success. Actually Radeon Mobility HD2600 doesn’t work: either blank screen or low resolution. Where I start guys to fix this issue?
Thank you James
P.S. Netkas: do you have real email. I need your consultation regarding ATI video cards.
No luck with a Sapphire 3650. Added the device id to ATIRadeonX2000’s Info.plist file. On a 10.5.2 install without the Graphics Update I get a blank white scree. On a 10.5.2 install with the Graphics Update I get a blank blue screen. Reinstalling 10.5.1 to try that.
I chatted with Netkas in IRC, asked him which card to buy, told me to get the 3870. Returned my 8800GT which was a headache and bad. Picked up the 3870 today, slapt it in, installed Natit.
Rebooted and can finally say that my hackintosh is done! So happy… all running great. Runs way cooler than my 8800GT as well…
THanks for the great work and advice
It’s a weird feeling when your Hack no longer needs tweaks… what to do with all that spare time…? Use it?? Egad!
-GPP
I’d like to know what that feels like! Hopefully I will soon as the driver package is tweaked more.
Video is the only thing I’m having an issue with. I got an Abit IP35 Pro. Everything on it has worked out of the box so to speak.
Has anyone had any luck with a PCIe Radeon X2400HD. I have an ASUS card that I’m trying to get up and running with CI and QE. I have added my vendor ID as well as the bios hex dump.
I’ve added the vendor ID to RadeonX2000.kext
I’ve added the vendor ID and the bios hex to Natit.kext
I’m currently stuck with a completely blue screen at startup. This card has a VGA out, DVI out and a component video out. Any help or tips would be appreciated
I have a 3870 and am experiencing the blue screen with cursor as well. I have a 10.5.2 install with Leopard Graphics update, the latest 9.2 Kernel with shut down fix and mac nubs applesmbios. Prior to installing Natit.kext, I have no QE/CI and am at a low resolution. The blue screen with cursor I see is nice and high res, so the kext is working, I just can’t login or use OS X =(
Motherboard= ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe
Processor= AMD Athlon X2 4200+
Netaks. My HIS 3870×2 not working yet.
I install Kalyway 10.5.1 -> 10.5.2 update -> graphic update -> install your 3870×2 package. I’m not install your new natit. I can see only black screen.
what can i do ? Help, netkas.
This driver works with ATI HD 3650 Card(for QE and CI)or not ?
It works with Asrock 4Core-Dual VSAT (VIA Chipset) mainboard or not?
Thank you for your reply
heng2006
What is the difference between these two versions of new natit.kext dated on 2008-02 26 and 2008-02-23 here ? My working version is 2008-02-23 while 2008-02-26 version will cause my system rebooting continuously.
to jsl2000: Send me ATIRadeonX2000.kext, ATINDRV.kext and natit.kext in igyo@mail.ru, please
Great job guys! 3870×2 working great! At first I thought I was stuck at the blue screen, however if I leave it sitting for a few minutes, the Leopard desktop boots right up. From there everything works great. I even have two 3807×2’s connected by a Crossfire bridge. It finds the display and it just works.
Got the 3870 since the 3650 didn’t work. Still a no go. Stuck at the blue screen. Might try different versions of Natit.kext. Can’t seem to find any EFI strings to try instead.
Aikidoka: Install procedure – Kalyway 10.5.1 then Combo 10.5.2, Then kaly kernels, then install the new natit.kext, Then Leo graphics update, After that update, install the white menu fix 2000.bundle etc. + the same natit.kext, Repair perm. etc reboot.
The first install of the natit was installed so you can actually have a image to view once it restarts from the leo graphics update.
Oops,Thats for the 3850, Thats what I have, So for you you dont need to install the part “2000.bundle” etc. so a re-install of jsut the natit a second time will do.
Thank you NETKAS…
After 10.000 bad words, at the end i did it!!
YOU ARE SUPER!!!!
THANKS ALOT

Marcaen//How to working your 3870×2 ?
I have a HIS 3870×2. I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 -> 10.5.2 update -> Graphic Update -> 3870×2 Full Package.
Not install new Natit. I can only see black screen.
Please tell me your Method.
reply rgbcell@gmail.com, please.
zillion: No go. Unless the kernels you are referring to are other than the one on the Netkas site. I still just get the blue screen.
Thanks to NETKAS, I got HD 2600XT running solid/no problems for 3 months on 2 monitors.
Picked up a new monitor and another HD 2600XT and tried to get all 3 monitors running, but no luck. Only the 2 monitors on the first card are working.
Under Vista all three monitors are working. Is it possible to run all 3 monitors under 10.5.2 Hackintosh? Can someone point me in the right direction?
+1 for graphic card running hot using only Natit and X2000 kext from 10.5.2 with graphics update… Is there any managed issue for that ?
Strange thing. I did the following:
Install 10.5.1, reboot.
Update to 10.5.2, install latest kernel of Netkas and a different AppleSMBIOS.kext, install old Trikas package, add dev id to ATIRadeonX2000.kext, reboot.
I get a blue screen, and no cursor.
I reboot into Safe Mode and I get all resolutions, etc but of course no QE/CI.
Ugh! So close, yet not there. Note this was not with the Graphics Update.
Ok, so I did the Graphics Update, reapplied the Triakis package and rebooted.
Got the blue screen. Said f*** yet again. Went and put laundry in the wash, came back 5-10min later and the screen was up with QE/CI supported!!!! It all only took about 50 installs to get it all right. Ha!
@netkas
by any chance supporting the new hd3850 for the AGP port?
Sapphire/Powercolor and more are building them.
The devid is 9515 and the card enables QE/QI when the cards bios is modded (to devid 9505), but as we all know there is the Windows driver issue. By only changing the plist i had no success.
Thanks
rgbcell:
I installed Kalway 10.5.1. I did not install any graphics drivers through the customize menu. Just installed Azalia for my sound on my motherboard and the Vanilla Kernel with the sleep. After the install I’m in the low res VGA mode. I ran 10.5.2 update using the Netkas method. Rebooted installed all the updates including the graphics update. Then I just installed the 3870×2 full package. On reboot, I got the blue screen. I leave it for a few minutes and everything starts working. Able to switch res, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary or extra other than waiting at the blue screen.
I was able to get everything working by installing the latest natit and just waiting at the bluescreen. Thanks netkas and everyone else !
Thank You. Marcaen. i try again your method.
what’s your message on -v boot flag
display : ………………. ?
in my case,
“display : specific matching fails”
your message is different from me ?
I have Asus F3Ka and have the same problems, with HD 2600 mobility
jsl2000 whats your system?! cold u make some mini tutorial that can help us out?
(by the way.. my webcam never worked, as my wifi, as my audio, as my vga)
(only can work in safemode (-X) to have internal screen)
LAN works fine.
Keyboard work fine.
USB’s work fine.
DVD works fine.
Thanks to all and keep going with this good work =P
dstereo
isntall 3870×2 pkg or make binhack like it described in 3870×2 post
better jsut to install 3870×2 pkg and to add your devid to info.plist of x2000.kext
gui speed will suck tho, because of agp
framebuffer should work with latest natit i think.
hey guys i think there may be some type of problem with the fan or power management for the HD 3850 512MB. If I leave the computer on for more than an hour or two (even if im doing nothing) i get a random grey screen that says i neet hold down the reboot button. im thinking that this is the only thing that could be the problem as it started now that I have the natit? im probably wrong though lol. btw i set my cpu fan speed to 100% all the time so thats not it …this is just a guess.
Got Hd3650 working! Thanks for the .kext. Updated with pcwiz’s guide from .1 —>.2

Totally noob.
To zoot,
Your HD 3650 works with QE/CI or not?
What is number of your OSX?
Could you send your driver to me by e-mail?
My e-mail = heng2003_tfb@yahoo.com
Could you descpripe your steps to patch this driver?
Thank you very much,
heng2006
Zoot,
Do yours 3650 works with QE/CI? I can get it work with resolution only.
I tried couple times of install and reinstall of 10.5.1, 10.5.2, graphics update, 3870×2, new natit, and the 3650 pkg given by Netkas (with dev id in the X2000.kext). I got blue screen with cursor moveable, but lost the menu bar and the icons.
pcwiz’s guide. Do you mean “PCWiz Computer Blog”?
No quartz sorry..
Hi! My Asus HD3850 works with QE/CI (max resolution 1280×1024) on p5ld2+pentium_D930+2Gb+2HDD (SATA) + DVD (SATA).
But have some problem – incorrect work mouse over effects in menu and dock. I must press and hold mouse down and then move it when I want to mark or open submenu. Dock zoom effect doesn’t work too.
My mouse Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse
Install method: Kalyway10.5.1-(Reboot)-Kalyway_combo_Updt10.5.2-(Reboot)- Netkas kernel_9.2-(Reboot)- Graphic update + Natit + menu fix.
Some more. Without graphic driver (after Kalyway10.5.1-(Reboot)-Kalyway_combo_Updt10.5.2-(Reboot)- Netkas kernel_9.2) rollover effects works fine.
I have 10.5.1 and installed the natit for the white menu fix and it garbled my screen. Probably because I need 10.5.2. Do i have to re-install the Kalyway or is there a way to fix this?
start with “-s”, write “/sbin/mount -uw /” them “rm-r /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext” and if problem continues do the same just change natit.kext to ATIRadeonX2000.kext
Rew,
I had the same problem with a Logitech MX700 apparently the forward button was stuck, I struggled hard to find the cause.
I have two mouse on the computer (when the mx700 is charging i can use the other one). I noticed sometime OS X just don’t recognise one of the mouse and then that when the MX 700 didn’t work I did not have the problem. i just replaced it with a MX1000 and everything is working fine.
Cool! The problem with rollower effects is solved. I just Installed mouse driver from logitech. Thanks Netkas for your job!
Ok, I have a GIGABYTE M57SLI-S4 mobo and a
Visiontek 3870×2 card. I have time now to try to make
this work. I have Zephyroth’s 10.5.2rev2 DVD loaded
on the system. I have netkas’s “special” natit on there
now which gives me the resolution support but no QE/CI
of course. I am trying to enable kext support via X2000.kext
and have tried editing its Info.plist file to include
devid 950f for this card, and even did the binary edit
to the driver file itself, this yields a pretty blue
pepper’d garbage screen then the desktop tries to start
when I try that.
Now I have seen so many references flying around with
regard to possibly running gfxutil, a template,
editing com.apple.Boot.plist and removing Natit but the
instructions on here for doing this leave a lot to be
desired netkas, sorry, you leave A LOT of stuff out dude.
There is also mention of Triakis. An “ioreg” lookup
shows th parents of the card already attached to Triakis
using netkas’ special Natit.
Is there just a way to do this with Natit and editing
the X2000 kext?! If I am reading all of this write,
to get QE/CI support you can either do it with Natit
and a patched X2000 kext -or- using netkas’s special
gfxutil procedure which again I just get lost trying to
follow (and I’m a seasons unix sysadmin and have done
all sorts of other stuff on Hackintosh including getting
IOPCCardBridge working on a laptop for WiFi support on
my own).
Any useful ideas on a clear path using this distribution
would be immensely appreciated!
Any reason why after reboot it’s saying “failed to install natit”?
I have 10.5.2 and a 3850.
I just put the natit.kext into the extentions folder and rebooted. Is there something more I should be doing?
I used some kext installer and this time I didn’t get the error after reboot, but it’s still not showing I have a 3850. I must be missing a step.
p.s. my shut downs / restarts don’t work. Any email on that would be welcomed.
What is the exact procedure for installing Radeon 3650 graphic driver?
I was trying but unsuccessfully.
Hello,
I have ATI Radeon 2900GT 256 MB RAM Device ID: 0×9405, I used latest natit
but It does not work. Have You any idea?
why wont anyone one help make an hd2600 mobility driver????
I have sapphire hd3870×2 and a asus p5k
I have follow the gfxutil after hours of try. I’m sure i did everything correctly but this solution didn0t work for me. The normal natit and x2000 edit didn’t work as well.
i have try with nearly 10 new install but it seems that something is missing. The best i got was the blue screen and a system lock. Considering that all this card have 950f 1002 id I think that many other like me have problem at the moment. I have try with kalyway 10.5.1 and with kalyway 10.5.2comboupdate. with the leopardgraphicsupdate1.0 and with the latest natit and triakis in every condition and changing the order of installs. No way. I like to know if someone is having hd3870×2 QE CI working with kalyway and if possible the dipendencies of the natit to properly work.
I’m sure i did everything in the right way but nothing seems to work. I like to read someone here that have a hd3870×2 working properly. Someone did it or it’s. Too few info to install this card.
Can I install this on XxX 10.4.11 with 8.10.1 kernel?
I tried several Natit.kexts and they aren’t working, since I can’t install any of the Leopaard releases I need to get it working on tiger.
I got all the files, Natit.kext and the ATIRadeonX2000GLDriver.bundle file, is it right if I copy the files to the Extensions folder with Kext Helper B7?
My Videocard is a HD2600 Pro (0×9589)
Please help Netkas!

Hi fellows,
Lots of posts talking about HD3850 graphic cards, I think about the one’s PCIe, more extended in new PC’s.
Some suggests to get on work the 3Dclub HD3850 AGP?
thank’s for all!
read U in forums
i am trying and trying the 3650 card but no luck even for just resolution. i know u said we are in murky waters, netkas, but can u point us in the right direction for at least resolution on this card, and me lead us in the direction of making this card more compatible. thanx for any suggestions.
Hi all,
I got an ASUS 2600XT and try to install the driver. Install NATIT_For_X2000_X3000_Series.pkg only.
When reboot, just display blue screen can’t show the login windows, but when I remove the Natit.kext the login windows appear again.
Anyone help?
Thanks!
I have a ATI Radeon 2600pro and I run 10.5.2. If I run ‘radeondh_checker 0×9589′ it replies:
your card is 9589
Radeon 2600 pro/XT init :26041
I did the install-steps of Mcsmart (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=94090) on insanelymac. I changed ATIRadeonX2000.kext’s Info.plist and added 0×9589 to the list.
I reboot and Leopard starts ok, but now profiler say’s;
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT (and not ‘pro’),
dev.id=0×9587 (and not 0×9589!?)
CI=Software
QE=not supported
Someone have any idea what I did wrong?? Everywhere I find the same steps as mcsmarts’ and everywhere it says I should get QE=supported etc.etc.

It seems no further progress for ATI Mobility HD2600 in Leopard 10.5.1 or 10.5.2 in recent 1.5 months. Have anyone got its display on internal screen now ?
P5K DLX + HD2600XT -> all OK and enabled.
Problem: sometimes suddendly I get the “panic screen” during normal working. Too many times for working seriously.
Any suggestions ? Is it the same for you ?
For ATI 3850 user !
1. Install Kalyway Combo 10.5.2 update
2. Install graphic update
3. REBOOT IN SAFE MOD. ” -X ” Install NATIT and white menus fix
4. Restart
CI, QE and rotation supported
I have the white menu issue with my HD 2400 Pro. The white menu fix for the 2600 doesn’t work on it.
I got it to work now. Installed OSX graphics update then reinstalled Natit and changed the ATI kext.
Only the DVI output works via DVI -> VGA adapter. The VGA output doesn’t.

3. REBOOT IN SAFE MOD. ” -X ” NO GO, i become there screen of death (please restart your computer)…
Any more ideas? Netkas maybe.?
I finally got my new HD3850 512MB(purchased on 04/24/08) working with QE/CI on an existing Kalway 10.5.2.
***This method is for 3850 cards that fail to match display type 0×9505 when booting.
Use Pacifist to extract the kexts without needing to reboot or logout. (easier for those who don’t know how to terminal/permissions)
Part 1 – Necessary Files
1. Leopard Graphics Update 1.0 from Apple
2. 3870×2pkg.pkg (d/l links from ‘irc.osx86.hu – room: ‘radeonhd’)
Part 2 – Leopard Graphics Update
1. Open Leopard Graphics Update DMG
2. Copy the Leopard Graphics Update package to your desktop
3. Open the Leopard Graphics Update.pkg with Pacifist
2. Click on Install on the toolbar (this will install in the default location)
3. Use Administrative Privileges when saving (so you don’t need to chown/chmod)
4. Replace all files
5. Close the Leopard Graphics Update
Part 3 – Installing the 3870×2pkg
1. Open the 3870×2pkg.pkg with Pacifist
2. Click on Install on the toolbar
3. Use Administrative Privileges when saving
4. Replace all files
5. Close 3870×2pkg
Part 4 – Modify Natit to redirect 3800 Series to plugin Triakis.kext (found in ATINDRV.kext/Contents/Plugins/).
1. In Finder, navigate to /System/Library/Extensions/
2. Right click on Natit.kext and select ‘Show Package Contents’
3. Open ‘Info.plist’ in Natit.kext/Contents/ with Property List Editor
4. Expand to ‘IOKitPersonality > Alkor > ATI Radeon 3800 Series’
5. Find and Replace any text that is “Lamna” to “Triakos” (This references Natit to the proper Triakos plugin)
6. Save and Quit
Part 5 – Clean-up & Finish
1. Open Disk Utility and repair all permissions
2. Restart
Good Luck!
– not sure which version of the 3850 bios(102 or 103), but i am assuming it’s the newer one since kalway combo 10.5.2 combo update graphic kexts didn’t work.
Hi + thank you for all your efforts here !
I’m trying to have QE/CI on Ati mobility x1200 ID:791F which loads NATIT but with not acceleration whatsoever.
Do I need any original ATI***.kext ???
Should I add my dev ID to any of them ?
Thank you for your help !!!
I also need a X12xx kext. Laptop works perfect except for this, all I really need is 1280×800, I’m not bothered about QI/CE.
0×791f
No kext loaded.
Hello Netkas, first thank u, for all the things you’ve taught us. I have the Ati Radeon 2600 Hd Pro with a xfx nforce 680i motherboard. I’m using the deneb 10.5.5 the installation was successful but for the last 3 weeks I’ve been trying to get Q/E enabled and all I get when I install natit is a all white screen then black then computer shuts down after a couple of minutes. I got it enabled once before but install a driver for the audio and it crashed the whole system(so I know getting Quartz extreme enabled can be done)I just don’t know what the hell I did. I don’t want to give up because I’ve came so close…if you know of any thing please email swayvon65@hotmail.com ………thanks
Does this work with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 ?
bsides ; Unfortunately it was not working in my case. i have ATI mobility HD2400 (94C9)
IF i use this with ATIRadeonX2000.kext and ATINDRV.kext there are only broken-screen and if i use this only without any kext(ati*)m, CI/QE was not working and resolution was fixed at 1024 x 768 .. is there any sucessful-case?
im trying to get my hd 3650 512 agp working. many many installs and tons of tries with mixed results. i can get dual dvi monitor support with extended desktop and 1680 res but no matter what i cant get ci(hardware) and supported qe. want to try hex string in boot plist but cant find out how to get my hex string. tried multiple version of natit with no luck. i’m getting desperate. i had a x800xt and couldnt get it working (same results as with 3650). bought the 3650 cause i read posts of success stories. followed all their “guides” and only succeeded in being frustrated. i think im missing something. i used ideneb and installed fresh with certain options to make system work on first partition. did same method on second partition with the closest working natit driver. i can boot to second partition when i screw something up on first partition. everything works except ci/qe on both partitions. help!! please!!
wondering if i need some other type of patch for my mobo. its an abit ic7-g.

Hey,
I’ve got a problem with my install try.
After I installed the natit.kext I get the following screen(s):
http://img69.imageshack.us/g/image068d.jpg/
Sorry, I forgot to turn the pictures by 90°.
I used the ATIRadeonX2000.kext and added my devid.
My configuration:
Alienware Laptop m17
iPC 10.5.6
Radeon HD 3870 PCIe (Intel) (devid: 9509)
Any idea what’s wrong or how I could solve this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Sebastian
pkg installer
don’t work with
xhd3870×2 (InfoTek GeCube & VisionTek)
Nothing works! Need help
Is there any chance that the ATI HD4200 Chipset will be added in, or does it work with this? It’s the only thing I need to get iDeneb to work!
Thank you in advance.
I’ve got a machine with an Asus HD3850 in it and I can’t get it going with any version or distro of OSX. Googling leads me here, and I’ve managed to get the ‘natit’ file but I can’t find any detailed step by step instructions on what to do with it. “Install natit” everyone says. Install HOW?!?!
So far the closest I’ve got to a boot is with iDeneb 1.5.1, it boots, gives me the grey apple spinner, then the screen goes black, then grey, then blue, then black with a pointer and there it sits. Everything else gives me a kernel panic.
I managed to get help from a user on IRC last night and he filled me in on the missing instructions, as well as provide an installer package with both the missing ATI base kext and an older version of natit that worked. I can see, I can see!
Now comes the fun part of eliminating the niggly bits of the system that don’t work as expected.
