Fermi and Lion

Using aty_init I posted earlier.

Now somebody tell me how to enable clock throttling on nvidia cards in Macosx, or I will have to go back to 5870 where its done by driver itself.

    Thanks info Netkas!

So currently only AMD cards don’t need injection. Are there any traces of similar functionality for NVidia cards?

@clubber_77: except for gtx 550 ti no other 500 series device id is listed in NVDAGF100Hal.kext
but until someone tries it, we won’t know 😉

im not convinced that editing AGPM does trick

I find that just removing it from S/L/E does same thing in my 4,1

I wonder if editing it actually “breaks” it

I’ve had good luck editing AGPM. I added my gpu’s device id to the MacPro5,1 which is what I have it set for. I could see a HUGE improvement in performance in the OS and games. All the animations smoothed out tenfold. 🙂

The Rominator: You can use the LegacyAGPM.kext instead.

Drivers in DP2 worked great except that the openGL framework needed to run games like world of warcraft is ether fragged or incomplete. when I installed it on my hack’s secondary drive activated WOW and got all the for ground frames that are not openGL but just a solid color for the background that flickered now and again. it doesn’t matter what method I use for card ID, boot.plist string, DTST mod(currently using), injector all result in the same.

since WOW is the only “Game” I use other then production tasks I have installed win7 on a spare drive and will enjoy messing around with the card on both sides of the house a little bit.

Advice to resolve the single color issue on openGL would be helpful.
