Hmm, I’m not sure your conclusion is correct. I am on 11A480B and my download is 656.6MB. So either Apple is sending me the wrong file or the size of the update has got to do with other things as well.

Just want to say that my OpenGL score in Cinebench for my Sapphire 5770HD increase a fair bit, from 33.14 to 38.46 since this new update. Since DP1, it has increased from 31.69. I notice the FPS increase in games as well. Quite happy, and again, cannot wait until full OpenGl 3.2 support.

updated my DP4 macbook pro today. no new geforce or NV drivers.

how can GTX 550 ti be used in 10.6.7. i have it running onto my system. the system detects the chipset model perfectly. but m way too far from achieving resolution beyond 1024×768. also no QE/CI. have installed tonymac’s latest NVIDIA update with updated CUDA from NVIDIA. Also tried by removing Geforce.kext but no progress. Enabling NVInjector doesn’t help either. Please suggest a way outta it. m a novice here and don’t have much idea of it.

there is an update for the nvidia stuff (need to put in the dev ids for my gtx580 again for NVDAGF100.kext), no more crashes or Video corruption!

Plex, VLC, Dragon Age II, Halfe LIfe 2 tested so far without any flaws!

Just got my GTX 560 Ti to work partially πŸ™‚ No QE/CI yet, but all resolutions work! Just added the id to NVGF100HAL.kext, removed GeForce.kext and enabled GraphicsEnabler in Chameleon! Hopefully I’ll get QE/CI soon πŸ™‚

i have no experience with the 560 ti (gf114?) the gf100 kext works on my gf110 based 580 and i got everything working, i really wonder why there is no qe/ci on your system, what happened with geforce.kext in place?

ps. Safari autocorrection sucks (especially on ReCaptcha)

ok got DP4 installed and without even running this update, I can say my GTX 590 is working! 2560×1600 res, QE/CI beautiful… can’t wait to get the final copy installed and ditch 10.6.7 for good!

@zurie: i used the booter from andy, you can find the link in one of the comments on this site, but it looks like you already solved the booting issue? πŸ™‚

i recommend installing this update, it solves some stability/compatibility issues with gf110 based cards.

Have got problems with DP4 and my ATI Radeon HD 5750. No QE/CI, only one Resolution in Displays Setup. In DP1 .. DP3 it was enough to add the Vendor ID (0x68BE1002 in my case) into the ATI5000Controller.kext and then do in the Terminal β€œsudo touch /System/Library/Extensions”. After a new start the card did work. But it does not help in DP4 (11A494a) Are there any Caches which one has to refresh additionally? I would be grateful for all ideas and suggestions..

My GTX460 is performing well, but sometimes it slows down the system, then shows and hides the Mission Control 5 times and improves performance. But do not delay and gets bad again!

I have a Sapphire 6790 and am trying for now to make it work on Snow Leopard without success.

@Bansaku Does your card also work on SL ? I should have support for it on Lion no? How can I make it work? (in SL and/or Lion) Chimera didn’t do the trick for me although it has it listed in ver. 1.4.0..

Is there somewhere I can get the right files for it?

Hi, I am a bit of a noob but just completed a build and dual boot install of Windows 7 and Snow Leopard. I have the same graphics card that you do (GeForce GTX 560 Ti) and have only the fixed resolution of 1024×768. I am weary that doing what you have (without more detailed instruction) will render my OS unbootable (it happened to me before when installing NVKush).

Could you please provide me with more detailed steps on how you were able to get this graphics card to function? Also, let me know if you were able to get full functionality…this seems like the only thing in my way from a stable build.

  33. June 25th, 2011 | 4:00 pm

So, what is the difference between these two updates? If I recall correctly, the size doesn’t depend on the OS X version, so it must be something different.

fantomas1’s screenshot shows that his 11A480e wants to download the 994 MB version, not the 656 one. Huh?
