i installed lion on nvidia gt 440 with nvenabler and graphic enabler yes(boot.plist) and it is working(QE+QI+res). i can run glview 4.0 test up to version 3.2, above that test won’t run. so this mean fermi is supported in lion. no need driver from nvidia 10.6.8 or what so ever, just enabler.

Acik84, sure you don’t need NVidia 10.6.8 drivers, they are too old, Apple ships 270.X line driver with Lion.

Acik84, look for NVDAGF100Hal.kext, it’s an NVidia driver for Geforce 4XX and 5XX cards, it’s version is higher then was in NVidia drivers for 10.6.8. Also only new from Lion supports 5XX cards.

i dont understand Yolanda, i already prove that i clean/fresh install lion, then install nvenabler & my gt 440 work. so this prove that lion had fermi support. i already showed you my print screen & glviewer works!

Yolanda, i opened NVDAGF100Hal.kext info.plist and it show this value:

    NVDAGF100Hal 7.2.9 270.05.05f01

Acik84 : maksud yolanda tu mgkin “ye mmg awak tak perlukan nvidia driver dari 10.6.8, sbb yg tu lg lama dr yg shipped with lion”. Bkn dia nk kata awak menipu ke apa. Klu dr apa yg sy phm la.

Acik84, so it’s 270.05.05f01 driver from “270” line, in Snow Leopard all drivers was from 260.XX.XX line.

What the hell do posts 1 – 8 except 3 in this topic? There are plenty recently started topics where you can add these. It has nothing to do with this just started topic that Apple released sources for their new OS Lion. Even my post has nothing to do with it.

    Hello,

A bunch of us are struggling with 10.6.8 or Lion and Triple monitor with a 5770.

    Any ideas…

I could even send you a 5770 to test on as I have an extra. Or if there is another card that works with triple monitors let us know!

I can’t get my brand new Asus Nvidia 440 GT to work in Lion. It works in Snow L. but recognizes only 512 vram. I tried about everything…multibeast with easy beast boot loader, other boot loaders, Nvenabler 64… Could somebody please help me….Thanks in advance!

    Hey to you all,

I found a way to enable 512 vram of the Asus Nvidia 440 GT. Thanks to some research I was able to get some QE/CI out of it. Then I took it some steps further and found that when you install easy beast (from multi beast) and when you have your graphics enabler on, you will get all aspects recognized from the card in Snow leopard. One restriction though: only 512 Gb of vram. I had no success at all in Lion, none at all.
