That’s what parallels 7 showed after installing parallels tools for mac inside VM.
So, their innovations is to sell open source software(Chameleon) ?

The Chameleon 2.0-RC2 code which we use is licensed under the terms of an Apple Public Source License. On the Parallels third-party code use page (http://www.parallels.com/support/desktop/licensing/) we explain the use of the Chameleon project code. As per the license rules, we’re preparing our sources for publication and will provide them around the time of our official product availability.

@netkas modbin tells me since fassl created the gui for chameleon that parallels has been using chameleon i am going to assault them on twitter to see if the acknowledge the work of others and if they intend on donating to the chameleon team also ill see about having their app kg’ed and having the kg publicly released

Guys, come on, Chameleon is under APSL license, it’s absolutely legal to use that code for commercial purpose.

@dd Chameleon is a GPLv2 http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/source/tree/HEAD/trunk/GPL_V2_LICENSE software based on Darwin Bootloader (which is APSL)- the modifications made under GPLv2 are being commented, not the original apple darwin bootloader, which is not being used “nude”. We clearly see the GPL v2 GUI!

I think they use the Chameleon bootloader.
Why? It looks exactly the same even the background collour is the original chameleon one. And the logo of the buttons. Only bootbanner has changed. Some ppl think they don’t use it because chameleon updates itself almost every day. BUT they just took a stable chameleon version and since Mac hardware is the same as PC one just with other ORIGINAL apple bios so it won’t need any kexts.

Well, at the last year I did the same, and the Parallels gave-me their chameleon source code.
I did the same with vmware too, but no luck… They don’t gave-me their sources. At http://www.apple.com we haven’t a place to report this dirty things.
